About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course PSY4327 - Sleep and Dreams during the Winter 2027 semester. The course covers sleep and dreams in the context of physiology and psychological adaptation, including functions of sleep, sleep disorders and their treatment, theories of dream functions, and the relationship between dreams, health, personality, and consciousness. The course includes laboratory activities such as a sleep-lab experiment or a dream analysis lab. The course is offered in English and is scheduled for Tuesdays from 14:30 to 17:30, with a laboratory session on Fridays from 13:00 to 14:30. The course delivery is in-person.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Psychology
• Advanced knowledge in Neuroscience
• Advanced knowledge in sleep and dreams

• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach the course PSY4327 - Sleep and Dreams.
• Conduct lectures and laboratory activities.
• Maintain the assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
• Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
• Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in case of an upcoming absence.
