About The Position

The Faculty of Arts, specifically the Institute of Indigenous Research and Studies (IIRS), is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach EAS 3101 - Research and Methodologies in Indigenous Studies for the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on the study and analysis of methodologies associated with Indigenous approaches to research. The position is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor and will be taught in person.

Requirements

  • Graduate level background in Indigenous Studies and/or a cognate field (law/legal studies, history, political studies, etc.).
  • Must be a Regular Part-Time Professor.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada (Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in the discipline.
  • Lived experience in Indigenous communities (or work experience with Indigenous organizations).

Responsibilities

  • Teach EAS 3101 - Research and Methodologies in Indigenous Studies.
  • Conduct study and analysis of methodologies associated with Indigenous approaches to research.
