About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course 'Psychodiagnostic Assessment of Adults and Children: Decision-Making' (PSY5202 Section A03) during the Winter 2027 semester. The course covers the assessment of intellectual, behavioral, and emotional functioning in children and adults, including the administration, scoring, and interpretation of selected instruments. It also focuses on integrating data for effective communication of assessment findings to clients and other stakeholders. This course is offered in person and requires the instructor to maintain the assigned mode of delivery. The instructor must inform the School of Psychology Secretariat of any class cancellations and arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if an absence is known in advance.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in clinical psychology (CPA or APA accredited program).
  • Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and clinical experience in clinical decision-making, case formulation and report-writing, and risk assessment.
  • Clinical experience with adults and/or children/youth/families.
  • Experience teaching and training clinical psychology students at the graduate level.
  • Competency incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training.

  • Formal training in anti-racist, anti-discriminatory, anti-oppressive, and inclusive practices is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course 'Psychodiagnostic Assessment of Adults and Children: Decision-Making' (PSY5202 Section A03).
  • Assess the intellectual, behavioral, and emotional functioning of children and adults.
  • Administer, score, and interpret selected assessment instruments.
  • Integrate data to communicate assessment findings to clients and other stakeholders (e.g., parents, teachers).
  • Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Promptly inform the School of Psychology Secretariat of any class cancellations.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in advance of an upcoming absence.
