About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Digital Systems I (ITI1100 Section B) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers digital computers and information, number systems, binary arithmetic, Boolean algebra, logic functions, combinational and sequential circuits, latches, flip-flops, registers, counters, and implementation of digital circuits. The teaching method will be in-person, and the contract includes 52 hours of work, with a requirement for the professor to attend tutorials for at least one hour per week on average.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of course subject matter, demonstrated by having taught similar or related courses, or demonstrated by relevant work experience.
  • Regular applicants must have a doctorate and it should be in a field related to the course (especially in the case where the course is more specialized), if not, they must have a relevant work experience in a field related to the course, after having obtained their Ph.D.
  • Completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
