About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CSI2101B, Discrete Structures, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course covers discrete structures as they apply to computer science, algorithm analysis and design, predicate logic, proof techniques, graph theory, program correctness, analysis of recursive programs, and properties of integers with basic cryptographical applications. Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of course subject matter, demonstrated by having taught similar or related courses, or demonstrated by relevant work experience.
• A doctorate in a field related to the course, or relevant work experience in a field related to the course after obtaining a Ph.D.
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach Discrete Structures (CSI2101 Section C) during the 2027 Winter Semester.
• Attend tutorials at least one hour per week on average.
• Deliver the course in person.
• Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
