About The Position
The Department of Economics at the Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Labour and Population Economics (ECO-2114, Section A00) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course provides an overview of the labor market, including supply, demand, unions, wage differentials, discrimination, human capital, and the intersection of demographics and economics. The position is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Economics or Master's degree in Economics.
- Recent professional experience as an economist related to the course focus in the public, para-public, or private sector (must be demonstrated).
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as equivalent to the educational requirements and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach Introduction to Labour and Population Economics (ECO-2114, Section A00).
- Provide an overview of the labor market, including supply, demand, and applications.
- Cover topics such as unions, wage differentials, discrimination, and human capital.
- Address demographics and economics.
