About The Position

The strategic advantage of designing effective organizations and talent management systems to achieve organizational outcomes. Topics include: job performance, organizational commitment, thriving workplaces, motivation, and team dynamics. Talent management processes to acquire, develop, and engage employees. Equity, diversity, and inclusion. Organizational culture, power and politics, and current topics related to talent management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering required.
  • Master's in management or engineering preferred.
  • Ph.D. an asset.
  • APICS certification (or equivalent) required.
  • Extensive industry track record in professional and managerial role(s) in supply chain management.
  • Solid industry track record in professional and managerial role(s) related to management of human resources including HR strategy, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, corporate culture, workforce reduction.
  • MBA or equivalent Master's level degree.
  • Several years of professional experience at a senior level in a technology environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. an asset.
  • Experience as a senior HR executive or higher ranking role in engineering management in a technical/technological firm is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in post-secondary teaching and/or professional development instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction in English for the course EMP 5330, a Lecture component course.
  • Engage students in topics including job performance, organizational commitment, thriving workplaces, motivation, and team dynamics.
  • Facilitate learning on talent management processes for employee acquisition, development, and engagement.
  • Incorporate discussions on equity, diversity, and inclusion, organizational culture, power and politics, and current talent management topics.
