About The Position

The School of Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Psychological Intervention and Consultation: EFT (PSY5207 Section A04) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on the development of basic intervention skills, models of psychological intervention, and consultation with individuals, organizations, and systems. The course is offered in person and has an expected enrollment of 15 students. Requirements

Doctorate in Professional Psychology (CPA or APA-Accredited)
Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario to provide clinical psychological services to adults and couples.
Extensive knowledge of emotion-focused therapy theory, research evidence, and practice.
Demonstrated experience providing emotion-focused therapy to individual adult clients.
Demonstrated competency incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training.
Experience teaching and training graduate-level clinical psychology students.

Responsibilities

Develop basic intervention skills.
Teach models of psychological intervention.
Provide consultation with individuals, organizations, and systems.
Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person or virtual).
Promptly inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
Arrange a suitable replacement instructor in advance of an upcoming absence.
