About The Position
This is a teaching position for the course "Ordre juridique autochtone et droit criminel" (Indigenous Legal Order and Criminal Law) at the University of Ottawa, Civil Law Section, for the 2027 Winter Semester. The course involves studying conflict resolution and justice in various Indigenous legal orders, and an introduction to Canadian criminal law, including principles and provisions concerning Indigenous offenders. It is a 3-credit course with an expected enrolment of 30 students. The language of instruction is French, and the schedule is Monday 18:00-21:00, virtually. Requirements
- Knowledge of conflict resolution and justice in various Indigenous legal orders
- Knowledge of Canadian criminal law, including principles and provisions concerning Indigenous offenders
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience
