About The Position
This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PSY2574, a course on Research Methods and Ethics in Psychology. The course covers research protocol, experimental and non-experimental designs, documentation, writing style, and current research examples. The course will be delivered in-person and includes laboratory and lecture components. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Advanced knowledge of the course content area
- Competence in French (language of instruction)
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach PSY2574: Methodology and ethics of research.
- Cover research protocol, experimental and non-experimental designs, documentation, and writing style.
- Utilize current research to illustrate different protocols employed across subfields of psychology.
- Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in case of an anticipated absence.
