About The Position
This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Principles of Sociology (SOC1101 B00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course is an introduction to the principal fields, concepts, and methods of sociological analysis, exploring sociology and its relationship with other social sciences, critical thinking, and the craft of the sociologist. It is primarily intended for students not enrolled in a sociology program. The course is scheduled to meet on Mondays from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with online synchronous sessions.
Requirements
- M.A. in sociology or a more advanced training in sociology.
- Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field Principles of Sociology, evidenced by previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or through publications in the field.
- Competence in the language of instruction (English).

- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
