About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Modern Political Thought II (POL3102, Section B00) during the Fall 2026 academic period. The course focuses on the origins and development of later modern political thought from the 19th century onwards, covering topics such as socialism, liberalism, Marxism, decolonialism, feminism, postmodernism, and Indigenous perspectives. It is recommended that students have prior knowledge from POL 2107 and POL 2108. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 96 students and is worth 3 credits. The instruction language is English. The course will be offered in person, but the teaching method may be adjusted due to public health measures or other reasons. Requirements

Ph.D. or Ph.D. coursework in the field of Modern Political Thought.
