About The Position
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for CSI3131A, Operating Systems, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course covers the principles of operating systems design, including process management, scheduling, concurrency, memory management, virtual memory, storage systems, I/O, file systems, security, and protection, with examples of operating systems. The teaching method will be delivered in person. The contract includes payment for 52 hours, with the expectation that the professor attends tutorials for at least one hour per week on average.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of course subject matter, demonstrated by having taught similar or related courses, or demonstrated by relevant work experience.
- Regular applicants must have a doctorate in a field related to the course, or relevant work experience in a field related to the course after obtaining their Ph.D.
- Competence in a second language: Passive.
