This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach the course "Indigenous Governance in Canada" (POL4194/PAP4194, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 academic period. The course will examine the processes and structures through which Indigenous communities govern themselves within and outside of the Canadian state system, including precontact political structures, the consequences of colonialism on Indigenous governance, and contemporary issues related to Indigenous-state relations. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 40 students and is worth 3 credits. The language of instruction is English. The course is scheduled to be held on Wednesdays from 14:30 to 17:30 and will be offered in person, though the teaching method may be modified due to public health measures or other reasons.
