About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach Introduction to the Celtic World (CLT1132 Section A) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course covers the culture and history of the Celts from the Iron Age to the present day, including archaeology, religion, migrations, the Gauls and Insular Celts, Celtic peoples of the Middle Ages, themes from Irish and Welsh literature, contemporary Celts, and the survival of languages and cultures. The course is expected to have an enrollment of 45 students and is worth 3 credits. The instruction language is English. This course will be offered in person.

Requirements

  • M.A. in Celtic Studies or equivalent
  • Experience in teaching courses in Celtic studies
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
  • All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Introduction to the Celtic World (CLT1132 Section A)
  • Provide instruction in English
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
