About The Position

The Faculty of Arts, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Intermediate Japanese I (JPN2901 Section A) for the Fall 2026 semester. This course involves a review of Japanese grammar and the development of aural-oral and written skills. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 35 students and is worth 3 credits. The course will be offered in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:30 to 19:00. The University of Ottawa is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a barrier-free work environment. Requirements

• Master's degree in Japanese or equivalent
• Experience in the teaching of Japanese Culture
• Bilingual (French and English)
• Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as may be modified by provincial law.
