About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach THE CELTIC IRON AGE (CLT 3140/CLA3140 Section A) during the 2026 Fall Semester in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures within the Faculty of Arts. The course provides an introduction to the archaeology and history of the Hallstatt and La Tène periods of Continental and Insular Europe (ca. 650BC-ca. 100AD), covering Celtic origins, folk migrations, technology, art, religion, and contacts with Classical Greece and Rome. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 45 students and is worth 3 credits. The course will be offered in person. Requirements

  • M.A. in Celtic Studies or equivalent
  • Experience in teaching of courses in Celtic studies
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities
