About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a Registrar Analyst to perform specific operational functions within Curriculum Management and Degree Audit in the Office of the Registrar’s Progression & Completion Enrollment Management unit. This role reports to the Assistant Registrar for Curriculum and Academic Services and operates with moderate supervision. The Registrar Analyst will update student records in degree audit, encode degree audit reports, troubleshoot errors, assist in maintaining the undergraduate catalog, and support the technical review and implementation of program proposals in Acalog, MyUNLV, and uAchieve. This position involves making decisions on job-related matters, interacting with university colleagues and faculty, and enforcing policies on registration, enrollment, and graduation. The role requires discretion, analytical observation, independent judgment, and adherence to strict confidentiality and FERPA regulations. The uAchieve report is crucial for students to track degree progress, with the office handling approximately 500+ degree audit exceptions monthly. UNLV offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, necessitating updates and maintenance of curriculum tables during catalog cycles. All positions in Academic Affairs contribute to the university's mission of increasing enrollment and promoting equitable student success by addressing systemic obstacles and implementing strategic services, programs, and support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 1 - 3 years of Related Professional Experience.
  • At least two years of comparable professional experience.
  • Experience with customer service.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment that requires close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Update student records in degree audit.
  • Encode degree audit reports.
  • Troubleshoot degree audit report errors.
  • Assist in the maintenance and production of the undergraduate catalog.
  • Aid in the technical review of program proposals.
  • Implement program proposals in Acalog, MyUNLV, and uAchieve.
  • Make decisions in limited instances on matters related to job functions.
  • Interact with internal and external university colleagues and academic faculty.
  • Explain and enforce policies and regulations on registration/enrollment, graduation, and other academic matters.
  • Exercise discretion, analytical observation, and independent judgment in daily operational decision making.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality measures, including compliance with the Family Educational Rights Act (FERPA).
