About The Position

Lakeshore Animal Health Partners (Lakeshore), located in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician for its 24/7 Emergency department. Lakeshore provides 24/7 emergency care and a comprehensive array of specialty veterinary services, aiming to provide pets with healthcare quality comparable to that available to their owners. The hospital is equipped with advanced medical equipment, including a 3-Tesla MRI, and utilizes AI-enabled software to support clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care. Requirements

Registered Veterinary Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians
A successful ER technician must be able to perform well under pressure
A drive to make a difference in pets and their pet parents’ lives
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
MUST be willing/able to work night, holidays and weekends

Nice To Haves

Experience in emergency medicine is an asset

Responsibilities

Triaging emergency patients, and history taking
Performing and submitting laboratory samples
Administering oral, IM, IV medications
Ability to use independent judgment and initiative
Performing various treatments and diagnostics as directed
