About The Position

Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists is seeking a talented Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our growing Emergency Team! We are a 24/7 Specialty and Emergency hospital staffed with an amazing team of compassionate and experienced veterinarians, highly skilled RVTs and an awesome team of well-trained support staff. New team members are trained through a mentorship program before working independently. We support full technician skill utilization and are dedicated to provide gold standard medicine and exceptional patient care. Our outstanding medicine is supported by a team of incredible departments including Internal Medicine, and Critical Care. Requirements

  • Applicants must have a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic
  • 3-4 years emergency experience preferred
  • Must be self-motivated and able to think on your feet
  • Candidates must be positive and motivated
  • work as a team

Responsibilities

  • Procedural anesthesia monitoring
  • Full Technician Skill Utilization
  • Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams
  • Venipuncture / IVC placement
  • Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
  • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
  • Providing compassionate care for all patients
