About The Position

Lakeshore Animal Health Partners (Lakeshore), a 24/7 Emergency department located in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician. Lakeshore provides 24/7 emergency care and a comprehensive array of specialty veterinary services, aiming to provide pets with healthcare quality comparable to that available to their owners. The facility is equipped with advanced medical equipment, including a 3-Tesla MRI, and utilizes AI-enabled software to support clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The role is within a dynamic team environment where possibilities thrive.

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians
• A successful ER technician must be able to perform well under pressure
• A drive to make a difference in pets and their pet parents’ lives
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• MUST be willing/able to work night, holidays and weekends

Nice To Haves

• Experience in emergency medicine is an asset

Responsibilities

• Triaging emergency patients, and history taking
• Performing and submitting laboratory samples
• Administering oral, IM, IV medications
• Ability to use independent judgment and initiative
• Performing various treatments and diagnostics as directed
