About The Position

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital dedicated to improving the health of its communities. It serves as a vital link to rural areas, providing essential ambulance and emergency services. The hospital is committed to delivering quality, personalized, and safe healthcare close to home. Its emergency department is staffed 24/7 by board-certified physicians and advanced practitioners and is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Iowa Department of Public Health. The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool works nights, three 12-hour shifts per week, and is expected to continuously enhance their professional practice.

Requirements

Must be a registered nurse
Must hold an active license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa
Minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing
Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) will be required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter

Nice To Haves

Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization
Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization
