Registered Nurse RN, Float Pool
About The Position
The Float Registered Nurse provides high-quality, flexible nursing care across various hospital units. The role helps maintain the quality and continuity of patient care by ensuring patient needs are met efficiently and effectively. The nurse delivers care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices; adapts to different units and medical-surgical procedures; communicates with patients, families, and healthcare team members; educates patients and caregivers; and manages emergent needs, admissions, and hospital rounds. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week night-shift role with every-other-weekend and holiday work. The hourly pay range is $37.25–$61.75, based on working RN experience and potentially varying by location. The position is at Saint Francis Hospital, a 617-bed teaching hospital and the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
- At least 1 year of inpatient hospital RN experience.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required for certain departments.
Responsibilities
