About The Position

Join the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team at Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is a full-time, night-shift Registered Nurse position. The RN is responsible and accountable for professional nursing practice, including patient care and management of staff assigned to the RN. The RN may serve as Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice. The role requires adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations to support compliance and patient safety. Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center is described as New Mexico’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular care. It includes the state’s only facility performing left ventricular aortic device (LVAD) implants and a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
Valid New Mexico nursing license or New Mexico compact license within 90 days of hire.
BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Two years of experience in a specialty.
Two years of general nursing experience.
ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required by the department.

Responsibilities
