About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in a fast-paced Cardiac PCU/Observation Unit caring for post-cardiac and vascular procedural patients, patients with chest pain or congestive heart failure, and post-PACU patients who recover and go home the next day. The unit offers an environment for learning and growing in cardiovascular nursing. The position involves providing care consistent with professional standards of practice, the Nurse Practice Act, and Community Health Network’s mission and goals, while collaborating with others and managing resources.

Requirements

Graduate of a nursing school accredited by NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA, or have three years of related professional nursing experience.
Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana, as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Demonstrate performance consistent with professional standards of practice and care and the Nurse Practice Act.
Have excellent communication skills and team skills.
Be compassionate, caring, accountable, and self-directed.

Nice To Haves

Acute care experience is preferred; new graduates may be considered.
EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Care for post-cardiac and vascular procedural patients.
