The Registered Nurse will work in the LDRP unit, caring for laboring patients from 35 weeks of gestation and providing postpartum and newborn care. The role may require floating within the facility, within the nurse’s scope of practice, as needed. The schedule includes every third weekend unless specified otherwise. There is no call requirement. Travelers are expected to work major holidays according to the assignment-period policy: one major holiday during the assignment means working it; two means working both; and three means working two. Full compliance is required to start on time; if compliance is not completed in time, the start will be pushed back by two weeks because orientation is biweekly. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Non-billable orientation hours are determined by contract length (for example, 8 hours for an 8-week assignment or 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
