About The Position

Providence Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Tyler, Texas, is hiring a Registered Nurse to participate in and direct patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. The position is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at a facility specializing in long-term and rehabilitative care.

Requirements

Current, valid RN licensure required.
Management or supervisory experience required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal skills.

Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet resident needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders.
Implement and evaluate care plans.
Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
Direct and oversee subordinate staff.
Participate in duty assignments.
Organize and coordinate subordinate staff, job tasks, and time allotments.
Monitor the functions and activities of subordinate staff.
Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training action.
Monitor infection-control compliance.
Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
