About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, individualized care to residents at The Village at Summerville, helping maintain a warm, homelike environment. The role includes monitoring residents, administering medications and treatments, supervising care staff, communicating with residents and families, and maintaining accurate, compliant documentation. The position is PRN, with a listed 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift, and requires availability to work weekends and holidays according to resident needs.

Requirements

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in South Carolina.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care according to residents’ care plans.
• Conduct regular rounds and monitor residents’ conditions throughout the shift.
• Supervise and direct other care staff.
• Communicate care updates effectively to residents and families.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Complete documentation accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Notify physicians and families of significant changes in residents’ conditions.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
