About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at The Village at Summerville provides compassionate, individualized care to residents in a warm, homelike environment. The role includes monitoring resident conditions, administering medications and treatments, supervising care staff, communicating with residents and families, and maintaining accurate, compliant clinical documentation. This is a PRN position with a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. schedule. The LPN must be able to work weekends and holidays according to resident needs.

Requirements

• Valid LPN license in the state of South Carolina.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills.

• One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized care according to residents’ care plans.
• Perform regular rounds and monitor residents’ conditions throughout the shift.
• Supervise and direct other care staff.
• Communicate with residents and families about care updates.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Complete documentation accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Notify physicians and families of significant changes in residents’ conditions.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain clinical competency and uphold professional standards.
• Work weekends and holidays according to resident needs.
