About The Position

Providence Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Tyler, Texas, is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse to participate in and direct patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. Requirements

Current, valid LVN licensure.
Management or supervisory experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practice consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet resident needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders.
Implement and evaluate care plans.
Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
Direct and oversee subordinate staff.
Participate in duty assignments.
Organize and coordinate subordinate staff, job tasks, and time allotments.
Oversee and monitor the functions and activities of subordinate staff.
Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training action.
Monitor infection-control compliance.
Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
