About The Position

Reunion Plaza Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Texarkana, Texas, is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift. The facility provides long-term and rehabilitative care. The LVN participates in and directs patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders, while helping ensure high-quality services in a customer-service-friendly environment. The role contributes to a positive resident experience through compassionate healthcare and supports the facility’s mission to provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet patients’ and residents’ needs and expectations.

Requirements

Current, valid LVN/LPN licensure.
Management or supervisory experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal skills.

Experience in long-term healthcare.

Responsibilities

Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of practice consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet resident needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders.
Implement and evaluate care plans.
Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
Direct and oversee subordinate staff.
Participate in duty assignments.
Organize and coordinate subordinate staff, job tasks, and time allotments.
Monitor subordinate staff functions and activities.
Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training actions.
Monitor infection-control compliance.
Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
