About The Position

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Trauma Step-Down unit. This is a full-time night position. The 11A Trauma Step-Down unit is a 24-bed unit providing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. It is exclusively a trauma floor, working with the Surgical Trauma Service to care for stable patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chest & abdominal trauma (blunt force or penetrating), and orthopedic injuries resulting from trauma. Carolinas Medical Center is the region’s only Level 1 trauma center. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• 6 months of RN experience
