About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse on the 6CD Admission Discharge Transition Unit (ADTU) at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. The unit is a dynamic Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit that plays a critical role in supporting patient flow and throughput within the hospital, including decompressing the Emergency Department by facilitating timely admissions and discharges. The team provides comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of clinical diagnoses, including acute medical conditions, post-operative recovery, and telemetry monitoring needs. The unit emphasizes comprehensive assessment, stabilization, and transition planning to ensure safe and efficient patient movement across the continuum of care. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • 6 months RN experience
