About The Position

The UH Lake West Step Down Unit is a fast paced 30 bed unit that specializes in providing care to stable but critically ill patients of varying acuity. This unit is comprised of both private and semi-private rooms which are broken down into three Pods. A sign-on bonus of $8000 is offered for experienced RN's. The role provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN)
Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices).
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)

Nice To Haves

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
