About The Position
Sentara Heart Hospital located in Norfolk, VA, is looking for Registered Nurses to join their team. This is a great opportunity in 2026 to join a highly-ranked facility, recognized for its Cardiology services and Heart Surgery. Sentara Heart Hospital has openings in various specialized units including C-IMCU, Cardiac Surgical Procedural IMCU, Cath Lab, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). New graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply, with Sentara offering a dynamic 6-month Nurse Residency program designed to support their transition into their nursing careers. Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
- Virginia RN License or Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible
- BLS within 90 days of hire for all Direct Care RNs
- ACLS within 1 year of hire for Critical Care/IMCU positions
- Less than one year of experience for the Nurse Residency program

- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN
- Previous healthcare experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care as a Registered Nurse in specialized units such as C-IMCU, Cardiac Surgical Procedural IMCU, Cath Lab, Advanced Heart Failure, CSICU, and CICU.
- Participate in a 6-month Nurse Residency program for new graduate RNs, combining practical skills, hands-on training, professional development, and mentoring.
- Transition confidently into a nursing career with support and training.
