About The Position
Sanford Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Medical Cardiopulmonary and Pulmonary Acute unit. Medical Cardiopulmonary is a 30-bed medical unit that includes an 8-bed Pulmonary Acute intermediate/progressive care unit. The role offers RNs the opportunity to develop fundamental critical care experience in mechanical ventilation while building a strong nursing foundation focused on safe patient outcomes. The RN uses the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized patient care. Nurses work independently and collaboratively with motivated professionals and an interdisciplinary team that includes case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, and specialty providers. The role supports ongoing learning, evidence-based practice, and high-quality, patient-centered care for patients and families. The position works rotating 12-hour shifts and is scheduled for 36 hours per week.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practicing, or possess multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- Be adaptable, communicate effectively, demonstrate attention to detail, and have strong time-management skills.
