About The Position

The Medical Practice RN works in a busy Pulmonary Medicine practice and shares a variety of responsibilities with the team. The RN uses nursing assessment skills and clinical protocol guidelines to make decisions and provide timely, efficient patient care. The role includes telephone triage, medication refills, new consult evaluations, patient education, clerical functions, Medical Assistant functions, and environmental duties that support team objectives.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school and program.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• One year of RN experience required. New graduates must apply to the RN residency program.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Specialty credentialing according to the clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage.
• Manage medication refills.
