Medical Assistant - Naperville - Pulmonary Medicine
About The Position
Duly Health and Care is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Pulmonary Medicine team at the Springbrook office in Naperville. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Travel to other sites for coverage may be needed. The Medical Assistant supports physicians and patients by helping with registration, scheduling, vital signs, health histories, examinations, minor office procedures, prescription requests, and chart maintenance. The role also conducts onsite testing and helps maintain welcoming examination rooms while providing customer service consistent with Duly Health and Care’s CARE values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant educational program, higher education courses in health sciences, or related experience.
- CPR certification, or willingness to become certified upon hire.
- May be required to complete phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.
- Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, or EMT, or two years of prior experience in a medical office assisting with patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs, and collecting health history.
- Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first aid procedures.
- Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
- Assist patients with prescription requests; address pharmacy callbacks and provider orders; update charting and filing.
- Conduct onsite lab testing, including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
- Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
- Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
- Travel to other local clinics to assist with coverage as needed.
