About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on the Pulmonary Medicine Unit at Edward Main Hospital in Naperville. Care is delivered in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The RN uses critical-thinking skills to assess patients, recognize changes in their condition, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record pertinent observations. The RN also delegates appropriate patient-care tasks and works as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift. This is a full-time position scheduled for 36 hours per week on days, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

At least 1 year of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting.
An associate degree or higher in nursing.
If an associate degree in nursing is the highest degree held, graduate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing within five years of the position start date.
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
