About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the CV ICU provides high-quality, safe, and cost-effective total nursing care. The RN coordinates and integrates patient care using the nursing process and directs care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care. The role also requires adapting care to varied age-specific patient populations. The position is a full-time day-shift role. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and Basic EKG certification if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
• CCRN certification.
• TNCC certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection-control procedures.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
