About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care to patients. The RN is responsible for coordinating and integrating patient care using the nursing process, following established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care.

This is a per-diem seasonal position on the CV ICU team, with a day shift schedule.

Requirements

• Meet education qualifications recognized by the State of Florida for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• Hold BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
• ACLS certification, if applicable.
• Basic EKG certification, if applicable.
• CCRN certification.
• TNCC certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings, and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Follow corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care according to the nursing process and established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
