About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, and cost-effective total nursing care to patients. The RN is responsible for coordinating and integrating patient care through the nursing process and directing care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging each patient after providing an optimum level of care. The role is seasonal and per diem, with a day shift, in the CV ICU.

Requirements

• Hold education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• Hold BLS certification.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise preferred.
• ACLS and Basic EKG certification, if applicable.
• CCRN preferred.
• TNCC preferred.
• PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection-control procedures at all times.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards.
