About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates and integrates patient care using the nursing process and directs care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimal level of care. The role serves the CV ICU and is a per diem seasonal position on the night shift.

Requirements

• Have education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• Hold BLS certification.
• Hold ACLS and Basic EKG credentials if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
• CCRN certification.
• TNCC certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and be accountable for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection-control procedures at all times.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
