About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the CV ICU provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates and integrates patient care using the nursing process and directs care according to established standards for safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care.

This is a full-time night-shift position. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
• ACLS certification, if applicable.
• Basic EKG certification, if applicable.
• CCRN certification.
• TNCC certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection-control procedures.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established safety, risk-management, quality-improvement, and infection-control standards.
