About The Position

Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Uses the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching for patients and families. Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team, participates in resolving variances from patient goals, and ensures solutions are implemented.

The role is in Unit 36, a 24-bed adult Medical ICU caring for patients requiring vasoactive drips, ventilatory support, care after cardiac arrest, treatment for sepsis and TPA strokes, targeted temperature management, and other critical care requiring hemodynamic monitoring.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Six months of RN experience preferred.
