About The Position

Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Uses the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching for patients and families. Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team, participates in finding solutions when patient goals are not met, and ensures those solutions are implemented. The role is in Unit 36, a 24-bed adult Medical ICU caring for patients with critical conditions requiring hemodynamic monitoring, including patients receiving vasoactive drips or ventilatory support and those with post-cardiac-arrest conditions, sepsis, TPA-treated strokes, or targeted temperature management.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Six months of RN experience preferred.
