About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work in the Cardiac Center, a combined unit consisting of 40 beds in the Heart Center and 12 beds in the Outpatient Observation Unit. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 4:1 to 6:1 in the Heart Center and 3:1 to 4:1 in the Outpatient Observation Unit. Staff participate in a Shared Governance model of leadership. This is a 0.9 FTE union position with a full-time, variable night schedule. The salary range is $53.99–$77.79 per hour. Shift differentials include $2.50 for hours worked between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., $10.00 for hours worked between 11:01 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and $2.50 for weekends. External candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Requirements

• Experience in an acute patient care environment is required.
• A Registered Nurse license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing is required upon start.
• Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association is required upon start.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification must be obtained within four months of the start date.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Preferred certifications: Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN), Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN), Holistic Nursing Certified (HNC), or Medical Surgical Nurse RN Board Certified (MSN RN-BC).
