About The Position

Aveanna Healthcare is hiring Registered Nurses to provide one-on-one private duty nursing to pediatric patients in Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce, Florida. Two cases are available: one involving G-tube care with Sunday hours, and another involving G-tube and tracheostomy care with day and overnight shifts. Nurses provide compassionate, individualized home care and help achieve strong clinical outcomes. Care may take place in different households depending on the weekend, and safe patient handling and coordination of assistance are required when applicable. Scheduling opportunities may be available based on the nurse’s availability.

Requirements

Maintain an active, unencumbered RN license in the state where practicing.
Transfer a compact license to the state of residence within 90 days.
Have current CPR certification with a hands-on component; Aveanna can assist with obtaining this after hire if necessary.
Have a TB skin test current within the last 12 months.
Have reliable transportation.
Be dependable, attentive, and committed to safe, individualized care.
Be comfortable coordinating care across home settings when required and communicating when assistance is needed.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric nursing experience, especially G-tube and tracheostomy care.
Six months of prior hands-on nursing experience; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one private duty nursing and individualized home care to pediatric patients.
Provide care involving G-tubes and, for one case, tracheostomies.
Follow safe patient-handling procedures and coordinate assistance when needed.
Coordinate care across home settings when required.
Complete electronic documentation using a tablet provided in the patient’s home.
Communicate as needed to support safe care and consistent clinical outcomes.
