About The Position

Eventide Williamsburg in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a day schedule from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a weekend and holiday rotation. The RN enhances the living experience of seniors, residents, and clients by providing prescribed medical treatments and personal care services under physician direction, supporting the medical plan of care and written comprehensive care plan, and working within the appropriate scope of practice. The RN follows physician orders; prepares, administers, or supervises medications and treatments; monitors clients for adverse medication reactions; assesses physical, mental, and psychosocial status; records vital signs; observes skin and takes steps to help prevent pressure ulcers; and completes timely, accurate medical documentation. The role also involves directing and monitoring medication aides, carrying out individual care plans, educating clients and caregivers about medication self-administration and skills for returning home, and helping write and implement nursing care plans. The position requires an RN license in good standing in Nebraska or another Nurse Compact state and CPR. Candidates must be at least 18, meet Eventide vaccination requirements, and be able to communicate in English, including understanding relevant medical terminology. Successful completion of an RN or LPN course of study is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Six months of RN or LPN experience is preferred. The stated starting pay range is $36–$40.32 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location; shift premiums and differentials may also be available for select positions. Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Able to speak, read, write, and understand English, including job-related medical terminology.
Able to access the work area and safely perform the job duties; vision and hearing within normal limits, with or without correction.
Unrestricted ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds; strength and agility are assessed at Eventide’s discretion.
Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study.
RN license in good standing on the Nebraska State Registry or in another Nurse Compact state.
Current CPR certification.
Must meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.
Licenses and credentials must be kept current at the employee’s expense.

Responsibilities

Follow physician orders in accordance with Eventide policies and procedures; receive and record orders when appropriate.
Prepare, administer, and/or supervise the administration of physician-ordered medications, treatments, and nursing services; observe clients for adverse medication reactions.
Assess assigned clients’ physical, mental, and psychosocial status; report changes promptly to the immediate supervisor and follow up with family and physicians as directed; take and accurately record vital signs.
Observe clients’ skin according to Eventide policies and proactively take steps to help prevent pressure ulcers.
Complete procedures and document information in clients’ medical records accurately and promptly, following department submission protocols.
Direct and monitor medication aides and follow each client’s comprehensive care plan.
Supervise and educate clients in self-administration of medications; when applicable, teach clients and/or caregivers skills needed for the client to return home.
Assist in writing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans and update plans when clients’ physical or emotional states change.
