About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking an experienced nurse to provide patient care on Ball Memorial’s 18-bed medical diabetes unit in Muncie, Indiana. The unit cares for acutely ill diabetic patients transitioning from progressive to medical levels of care. Nurses work on a Progressive Care Unit using the Team-Based Acuity Adaptable Model (TBAAM), alongside patient care assistants, a unit secretary, an RN case manager, a geographically placed physician, a pharmacist, and a dietician. The role offers opportunities to develop clinical expertise, collaborate across disciplines, and support patient education and individualized care. The position is a full-time night-shift role.

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates from a non-accredited program may be considered with more than two years of acute care experience, subject to Chief Nursing Officer review and approval.
• Current Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Life Support certifications may be required depending on unit or department specialty and patient care policies.
